Electronic Arts in Orlando, FL is seeking a Generalist Platform Software Engineer to build developer tooling, optimize engine performance, and maintain scalable CI/CD automation across multiple environments for a new title that connects with football fans.

Reporting to a Software Engineering Manager, you will collaborate with gameplay, tools, and infrastructure teams to boost developer velocity, workflow stability, and the performance of world-class sports experiences, with hybrid onsite 3 days

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional C++ software engineering experience in games or real-time systems.
• Experience with Unreal Engine architecture, build systems (UBT/UAT), and profiling tools.
• Proficient in scripting (Python, C#, Bash) and CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain core internal tooling and workflows to boost developer productivity across Unreal Engine.
• Analyze, profile, and optimize engine performance, memory usage, and build times.
• Design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines, build automation, and infrastructure-as-code for game clients and backend services.
• Collaborate closely with gameplay, tools, and infrastructure teams to resolve technical bottlenecks and improve service reliability.
• Promote engineering best practices in testing, automated releases, and monitoring across the studio.
