We are seeking a talented Platform Engineer to join our engineering team and help build the foundational software framework for a next-generation robotics platform. This role will focus on developing, testing, and maintaining the core infrastructure that enables robotics and AI engineers to build and deploy advanced robotic systems.

The ideal candidate has strong C++ software engineering and design skills, experience developing technically complex software platforms, and a strong focus on software quality and testing.

What You’ll Do

• Build, test, and maintain foundational components of a robotics software platform.
• Design and implement core software infrastructure and frameworks used by robotics and AI engineering teams.
• Translate technical requirements into reliable, scalable, and maintainable software solutions.
• Develop clear, well‑documented code that can be easily understood and maintained by other engineers.
• Apply test‑driven development principles and build comprehensive test suites to validate requirements and functionality.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams on complex software development projects.
• Contribute to bringing new software products and capabilities from development through production.
• Help establish and maintain software development practices, standards, and architecture.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or another technical discipline.
• 3-5+ years of software engineering experience, including experience bringing new products or software capabilities to market.
• Experience working on technically complex software platforms, frameworks, or infrastructure.
• Strong proficiency in C++and software design.
• Experience with test‑driven development, unit testing, or automated test suites.
• Ability to interpret technical requirements and translate them into functional software.
• Strong ability to write clear, maintainable, and well‑documented code.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing software for medical devices or other safety‑critical systems
• Familiarity with IEC 62304 or comparable safety‑critical software standards.

• Familiarity with Embedded Linux and real‑time operating systems (RTOS).
• Experience working with sensor and actuator interfaces
• Experience in regulated environments, including FDA, ISO 13485, or similar standards.
• Start‑up or early‑stage company experience.
• Experience with Robot Operating System (ROS2).
