Job summary

SciTec is seeking mission-driven Platform Software Engineers in Boulder, CO, to design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for secure software builds and deployments. You will orchestrate automated deployments across development, test, and production using Kubernetes and Helm, and you will integrate pipelines with artifact management, testing, and security tooling.

The role requires US citizenship and DoD clearance eligibility, a STEM degree, and hands-on experience with Python, GitLab CI/GitHub

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline required.
• At least 2 years of professional experience in Python3 and CI/CD tooling.
• Experience with Git version control and container orchestration.
• Proficiency with secure coding practices and vulnerability management workflows.
• Strong attention to detail and clear communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, maintain, and improve CI pipelines (GitLab CI) for secure software builds and deployments.
• Orchestrate automated deployments across development, test, and production environments using Kubernetes and Helm.
• Integrate CI pipelines with tools for artifact management, testing, code quality, and security scanning.
• Monitor and troubleshoot CI/CD pipeline performance and deployment issues.
• Manage software release processes including version promotion, branching, integration, and validation.
• Maintain and implement Helm charts for application deployments.
• Perform deployment validation and issue resolution in Kubernetes-based environments.
• Ensure adherence to cybersecurity protocols and secure coding practices.
• Support software vulnerability scanning and remediation processes.
• Other duties as assigned
