Job summary

ManpowerGroup Global, Inc. is seeking an experienced Platform Software Engineer for a 12+ month contract in Irving, TX (hybrid) with openness to Charlotte, NC. The role targets production-grade, scalable cloud-native platforms, requiring hands-on coding in Java/Python and systems thinking.

Qualifications

Platform Software Engineer

Location: Irving, TX - hybrid (open to Charlotte (NC) as well)

Pay Range: 75-80/hr W2. (due to client rules we are unable to work with 3rd party subcontractors; all candidates must be able to work on Experis' W2 directly).

Duration: 12+ month contract

We're seeking experienced, hands-on engineers to help build and scale enterprise code for modern cloud-native environments / platforms. The ideal candidate is a builder who enjoys writing production-quality code, solving complex engineering challenges, and creating scalable platforms that help development teams identify and remediate vulnerabilities early in the software development lifecycle. This is not a traditional app dev role. We are looking for engineers with strong software development backgrounds who can build, automate, troubleshoot, and productionize solutions at scale with the development/engineering environment/platform.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience supporting production applications
• Strong programming experience in Java and/or Python
• Experience with at least one additional language such as Go, JavaScript, TypeScript, Rust, or C#
• Experience building, deploying, and supporting applications in production environments
• Experience integrating tools and systems through APIs and automation
• Cloud-native development experienceStrong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction
• Strong systems-thinking and problem-solving capabilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with GCP and/or OpenShift
• Experience securing APIs and microservices
• Experience with CI/CD tooling and developer platforms
• Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools and validating AI-generated code
