Job summary

Rogo is seeking a Platform Engineer to define and lead the technical direction of our platform as we scale 10x+ in enterprise customers. This hands-on role covers architecture, reliability, and developer experience across our Kubernetes-based infrastructure.

You will solve hard problems, build self-serve tooling, and partner with product engineers to unblock delivery in a fast-paced startup environment. The ideal candidate has deep distributed systems experience and thrives in ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead the technical direction of the platform, focusing on architecture and scalability.
• Drive reliability initiatives including SLOs, capacity planning, and resilience improvements.
• Own and improve internal platform systems, deployments, environments, and developer tooling.
• Elevate developer experience by building guardrails and self-serve tooling for product engineers.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, and leadership to accelerate delivery.

Job description

• We’re looking for a Platform Engineer to define and lead the technical direction of our platform as we scale 10x+ in enterprise customers
• This is a hands-on, high-impact role responsible for architecture, reliability, and developer experience across our Kubernetes-based infrastructure. You will solve hard technical problems, raise the engineering bar through your work, and be a key technical partner to product engineers across the company
• Design and implement scalable solutions within our Kubernetes-based platform for secure enterprise workloads
• Define and contribute to reliability initiatives: SLOs, capacity planning, and resilience improvements
• Identify and resolve system misconfigurations and architectural risks
• Build systems that support 10x customer growth with clear failure modes and mitigation strategies
• Own and continuously improve internal platform systems: deployments, environments, and developer tooling
• Drive improvements to reliability, observability, and operational workflows
• Act as a force multiplier for product engineers by building guardrails (not gates) and self-serve tooling
• Bring structure and rigor to complex infrastructure problems
• Contribute to internal engineering standards and design principles
• Work cross-functionally with engineering, product, and leadership to unblock and accelerate delivery
