Job summary

A1FED in Falls Church, VA seeks a Platform DevOps Administrator focused on security to secure, automate, and support enterprise Linux and COTS environments. You will translate recurring tasks into repeatable Ansible playbooks while keeping 24x7 production systems stable.

The role requires hands-on RHEL, STIG compliance, CVE remediation, PKI/SSL management, and experience with Apache, JBoss, RabbitMQ, Node.js, and middleware.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Linux administration and platform operations experience.
• Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
• Hands-on experience with Ansible and Ansible Automation Platform (AAP).
• Experience implementing DISA STIG baselines and remediation of CVEs/KEVs.
• Familiarity with NIST controls and PKI/SSL/TLS management.
• Ability to troubleshoot with minimal supervision.
• Experience with middleware (JBoss, Apache) and COTS apps.
• Experience with virtualization and container technologies (VMware, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
• Experience supporting production environments including monitoring, backup, and incident response.
• Understanding of ITIL principles and change management.

Responsibilities

• Maintain secure Linux, middleware, web server, and COTS environments.
• Implement and remediate systems against DISA STIG baselines.
• Review vulnerability scan results and remediate CVEs and KEVs.
• Coordinate patching activities based on severity and impact.
• Investigate security incidents and perform root cause analysis.
• Support compliance with NIST standards and controls.
• Maintain secure platform configurations and remediation evidence.
• Manage PKI and SSL/TLS certificates.
