Job description

Description & Requirements

At Forvis Mazars, technology is a catalyst for growth, innovation, and transformation. Firm Technology Services (FTS) sits at the intersection of business strategy and digital enablement, partnering across the firm to harness emerging technologies, advance AI-driven solutions, modernize the portfolio, and create new capabilities that accelerate operational success. Our culture is collaborative, engineering-minded, and future-focused, empowering talented professionals to solve complex challenges, challenge conventional thinking, and build solutions that make a measurable impact. This role is more than an opportunity to support a function. It is a chance to help shape the future of the firm, directly contributing to strategic growth initiatives, exceptional client experiences, and the continued evolution of a world‑class technology organization.

The Platform Product Owner II is responsible for maximizing the strategic value of assigned enterprise platforms across the organization. This role leads platform vision, strategy, and execution while partnering with executive leadership, Product Line Managers, technical teams, and vendors. The ideal candidate brings experience with product management, enterprise SaaS platforms, Agile delivery, and leading complex initiatives that drive measurable business outcomes. This individual will champion platform innovation, lifecycle management, governance, adoption, and continuous improvement while mentoring less experienced product owners and influencing firm‑wide strategy.

What You Will Do
  • Lead platform strategy, vision, roadmap development, and OKR definition in partnership with executive stakeholders and Product Line Managers.
  • Establish and monitor platform adoption, utilization, and business impact metrics to drive continuous improvement.
  • Own the full platform lifecycle, including evaluation, implementation, enhancement, release management, and retirement planning.
  • Manage intake, requirements gathering, backlog prioritization, and translation of business needs into epics, features, and user stories.
  • Develop and maintain functional specifications, acceptance criteria, wireframes, prototypes, and supporting documentation.
  • Prioritize work based on business value, risk, effort, dependencies, and team capacity.
  • Coordinate the creation and governance of platform templates, reusable assets, and standards.
  • Partner with development teams to scope custom development and integration efforts.
  • Lead cross‑functional delivery efforts across internal teams, vendors, and contractors to ensure quality outcomes.
  • Manage vendor relationships, including renewals, service agreements, quarterly business reviews, and escalations.
  • Coordinate platform upgrades, release planning, impact assessments, testing, communications, and deployments.
  • Oversee stakeholder testing activities, including regression, user acceptance, performance, and security‑related validation.
  • Partner with System Administration, Security, Compliance, and Data Governance teams to ensure platform stability, scalability, and compliance.
  • Maintain platform documentation, audit readiness, governance standards, and operational procedures.
  • Mentor junior product owners and promote Agile, Lean, and continuous improvement practices
Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in product ownership, product management, platform management, or related technology roles.
  • Experience managing enterprise SaaS platforms and driving platform adoption and business value.
  • Strong understanding of Agile, Lean, product ownership, and backlog management practices.
  • Experience with application lifecycle management, including requirements gathering, testing, release planning, and continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge of security, privacy, data governance, and compliance requirements associated with enterprise applications.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, facilitation, and documentation skills.
  • Experience analyzing adoption, usage, and business impact metrics.
  • Ability to influence cross‑functional teams and drive results in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making capabilities.
