Job summary

Menlo Security seeks a Platform Infrastructure Engineer to build and operate the company’s core infrastructure on a cloud-native platform across GCP and AWS. You’ll join a globally distributed team creating scalable, secure infrastructure and driving IaC practices with Terraform, Spacelift, Helm, and security-first design.

The role emphasizes multi-region resilience, end-to-end observability using Grafana Cloud and Prometheus, and the use of AI-assisted development tools like Gemini Code Assist

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, and Go.
• Understanding of network topologies and protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP/S, UDP, TLS).
• Kubernetes expertise including cluster administration and troubleshooting in production.
• Proven experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management.
• Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform services including GKE, VPC, DNS, Artifact Registry, Secret Manager, IAM, Gemini Code Assist, Workload Identity.
• Comfort using LLM-based code-assist tools to build and troubleshoot software.

Responsibilities

• Implement, deploy, and maintain VM and Kubernetes infrastructure on GCP and AWS across multiple regions.
• Build and maintain IaC using Terraform modules and Spacelift, provisioning networking, compute, storage, and security components.
• Implement observability solutions with Grafana Cloud, Prometheus/Mimir, and OTel collectors, designing dashboards and alerts.
• Manage certificate lifecycle, DNS automation, ingress controllers, and service mesh networking with Cilium.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Compliance, and Security teams on capacity planning and DR/architecture decisions.
• Automate toil reduction via scripting and CI/CD pipelines; leverage AI-assisted coding tools.
• Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation and drive post-incident reviews.
