Job summary

Black Canyon Consulting (BCC) is seeking a Platform Engineering Manager to lead a platform team supporting NCBI at NIH. This full-time role is onsite/remote at NCBI in Bethesda, MD, and/or remote. The manager will direct DevSecOps, DataOps, and Observability initiatives and partner with developers to enable platform adoption.

The ideal candidate has strong project/product management, Agile, cloud and CI/CD experience, plus knowledge of Linux networking and modern data processing architectures.

Qualifications

• Must have strong project and product management skills.
• Solid experience with Agile processes and DevOps practices.
• Proficient in at least one programming language; familiar with cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a Platform team focused on DevSecOps, DataOps, AI/Observability.
• Develop and maintain common tools and libraries for platforms.
• Evaluate new technologies and drive adoption among NCBI developers.
