Job summary

Comity is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead our Platform Software Engineering team. You will own data infrastructure powering research, market-making, and risk management, while mentoring engineers and guiding critical architectural decisions.

Based in Brooklyn or San Francisco, this hands-on leadership role reports to the CTO and shapes our Power Markets platform and broader energy-finance stack.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with 2+ years in management.
• Hands-on leader who stays close to code and day-to-day decisions.
• Experience leading complex engineering projects with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent coder, system architect, and mentor to engineers of varying seniority.
• Data systems design with relational databases and cloud data warehouses; ML is a plus.
• Lifelong learner and empathetic teacher focused on team growth and collaboration.
• Experience with Python, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, and AWS is a plus.

Responsibilities
