QuantumScape Battery, Inc. is seeking a Platform Engineer in San Jose, CA, to help build and operate the core platform for our software teams. The ideal candidate should have 2+ years of experience, a degree in a technical field, and strengths in cloud fundamentals, infrastructure as code, and incident response practices. Our team supports remote work with optional on-site presence in San Jose.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional experience in Platform Engineering.
• Strong foundation in Linux, containers, and Kubernetes operations.
• Experience with incident response and reliability practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate internal developer platform and tooling.
• Own CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Run infrastructure as code to provision and secure cloud environments.
• Implement observability and respond to incidents.
• Manage risk and optimize cloud spend.

Cloud fundamentals (GCP/AWS/Azure)

Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
