Job summary

Clera is building an early-stage infrastructure team in San Francisco to simplify production Kubernetes for demanding AI workloads. You will shape the platform layer, enable multi-cluster management, and collaborate across systems engineering, automation, and cloud-native infrastructure.

You will write Go, create Kubernetes operators, implement GitOps with ArgoCD, and develop IaC with Terraform and Helm while integrating Ceph/WEKA storage and Prometheus/Grafana observability.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of software development experience with Go in Kubernetes environments.
• Hands-on experience writing Go for production-scale clusters and managing distributed storage like Ceph or WEKA.
• Experience with GitOps and ArgoCD, plus IaC using Terraform, Helm or similar tools.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, managed Kubernetes, container networking, or service mesh tech.
• Prometheus and Grafana experience is useful; contributions to open-source infra projects are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build platform features in Go, including custom Kubernetes operators and controllers.
• Design GitOps workflows with ArgoCD to streamline CD.
• Develop infrastructure-as-code patterns with Terraform and Helm to provision clusters.
• Work with distributed storage technologies such as Ceph and WEKA for scalable cluster storage.
• Create observability systems with Prometheus and Grafana to surface cluster health.
• Build and optimize container networking with Cilium for security and observability.
• Design federated Kubernetes architectures for multi-cluster management.
• Develop automation that reduces operational work for teams running production workloads.
