Intrepid Solutions and Services LLC in Dayton, Ohio seeks a Platform Engineer to design, implement, and maintain Kubernetes-based infrastructure on AWS and TKG for a multi-year contract at Wright Patterson AFB. The role emphasizes Istio, Keycloak, MinIO, Vault, Terraform, and ArgoCD to deploy containerized workloads in a distributed environment.

You will contribute Kubernetes platform capabilities, optimize cost and performance, and interface with tenants for architectural guidance.

Qualifications

• Five to seven years in a software-focused engineering role.
• Experience with EKS, S3, EC2; deploying on TKG.
• Proficient in AWS EKS and TKG deployment and management.
• Experience with Istio for traffic and security.
• Knowledge of Keycloak for access management.
• Terraform modules for cloud infra on AWS and TKG.
• ArgoCD for GitOps deployments; CI/CD experience.
• Proven troubleshooting and performance optimization.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and manage Kubernetes clusters on AWS (EKS) and TKG.
• Design scalable, secure cloud-native infrastructure.
• Maintain networking and security for Kubernetes environments.
• Optimize cluster performance and cost efficiency with aligned teams.
• Develop Terraform modules to provision AWS and TKG resources.
• Implement GitOps with ArgoCD for deployments.
• Set up monitoring with Prometheus and Grafana; implement alerts.
• Troubleshoot issues and document solutions.
