Job summary

Fintal Partners seeks a Platform Engineer to accelerate engineering by building and operating on-prem Kubernetes clusters, containers, and CI/CD tooling. The role focuses on reliability, security, and performance across the firm’s private infrastructure.

You will collaborate with software teams to design scalable CI/CD pipelines, optimize storage and networking, and ensure disaster recovery readiness while keeping environments consistent across clusters.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on Kubernetes experience, ideally on-prem.
• Strong knowledge of containerization and orchestration.
• Experience designing and building CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Build, run and maintain highly available on-prem Kubernetes clusters.
• Deploy and manage containerized applications on Kubernetes with in-house tooling.
• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for on-prem environments.
• Monitor, debug and tune clusters for reliability and performance.
• Apply Kubernetes security best practices including RBAC and network policies.
• Write automation to manage infrastructure and keep environments consistent across clusters.
• Optimize storage and networking setups supporting clusters.
• Own cluster upgrades, backups and disaster recovery planning.

The team designs, builds and runs the core runtime platforms that the firm’s software relies on, with the goal of simplifying development, creating a consistent technical foundation across regions, and giving engineers what they need to innovate quickly.

This global team sits between application development and production operations, removing friction so engineering teams can deliver smoothly and keep moving forward.

What You’ll Do:

• Build, run and maintain highly available, high-performance on-prem Kubernetes clusters
• Deploy and manage containerized applications on Kubernetes with in-house tooling
• Work with engineering teams to design and build CI/CD pipelines for on-prem environments
• Monitor, debug and tune clusters for reliability and performance
• Apply on-prem Kubernetes security best practices, including RBAC, network policies and secrets management
• Write automation to manage infrastructure and keep environments consistent across clusters
• Optimize the storage and networking setups that support the clusters
• Own cluster upgrades, backups and disaster recovery planning
• Keep up with Kubernetes and on-prem infrastructure developments and bring useful updates into the environment

What You’ll Bring:
