Job summary

Palo Alto Networks in Santa Clara, CA is seeking a Platform Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable infrastructure powering our threat prevention platforms. You will manage the orchestration plane and automate deployment pipelines to keep engines and AI models running globally.

You will work with Kubernetes on Google Cloud, deploy Bigtable and BigQuery services, and implement IaC and CI/CD pipelines to support reliable, high-performance platforms at scale.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in DevOps, SRE, or cloud platform engineering.
• Deep hands-on Kubernetes (GKE) and container runtimes.
• Extensive experience with ArgoCD and GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven IaC proficiency with Terraform or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Architect, configure, and maintain high-scale Kubernetes clusters on Google Cloud Platform.
• Deploy, scale, and optimize core GCP data services like Bigtable and BigQuery.
• Design and implement robust Infrastructure-as-Code solutions for global multi-region environments.
• Build and support CI/CD deployment pipelines and automated validation gates for platform microservices.
• Partner with Data Plane and Data Pipeline engineers to monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize resource bounds.
• Drive site reliability engineering practices with observability dashboards and proactive alerting.
