Job summary

Lilly is seeking a highly motivated student for a technology internship in Alabama. The role involves designing, developing, testing, deploying, and enhancing technology platforms while gaining hands-on experience with cloud-native technologies and DevOps practices.

You'll collaborate with Systems Engineers, application teams, security, and business partners to improve delivery, automation, and developer experience, with emphasis on AI tools, security, and ethical standards.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in and attending school, pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, Security, or a related technical field
• Expected graduation by August 2027
• Completion of the 2026 Lilly technology summer internship or spring fellowship
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
• Lilly will not provide support for or sponsor work authorization or visas, including F-1 CPT, F-1 OPT, F-1 STEM OPT, J-1, H-1B, TN, O-1, E-3, H-1B1, or L-1
• Prior experience using AI tools in an academic, project, or work setting
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work across global, inclusive teams
• Knowledge of Agile principles and frameworks, such as Scrum and SAFe

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and enhance technology platforms
• Build and support infrastructure, global networks, and public cloud environments
• Support a wide range of business applications
• Work closely with Systems Engineers, application development teams, security, and business partners
• Improve developer experience and software delivery through cloud-native technologies, DevOps principles, and Infrastructure as Code
• Build secure, compliant, and highly automated platform environments at enterprise scale
• Develop fluency with AI tools used across the business
• Apply critical thinking to AI-assisted work while prioritizing accuracy, confidentiality, and ethical standards
