Job summary

Qualifications

• Commercial experience building and maintaining cloud infrastructure on a major cloud provider.
• Hands-on experience defining infrastructure as code using CDK, Terraform, or similar.
• Experience building and maintaining continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
• Good working understanding of cloud security fundamentals, including identity and access management, secrets management, network controls, and encryption.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Comfortable working in a regulated environment.
• Nice to have: a security specialism such as cloud security posture management, security tooling, threat modelling, or compliance automation.
• experience across multiple cloud providers, ideally AWS and Google Cloud.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain shared cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines.
• Define infrastructure as code and secure defaults.
• Maintain edge and network security tooling and platform ownership.
• Build automated checks for cloud security and compliance.
• Automate evidence collection and reporting for ISO 27001.
• Identify gaps, configuration drift, and findings for prioritisation.
• Collaborate with Head of Security to turn policy into tooling controls.
• Review cloud account access to enforce least privilege.
• Improve secrets and machine identity management.
• Extend AWS standards to Google Cloud estate.
• Work with Google Cloud teams to understand needs.
• Document work for knowledge sharing.
• Own learning journey and development plan.
• Approach challenges with curiosity and growth mindset.
• Learn from peers and seek feedback.
