Job summary

Vectara is seeking a Platform Engineer to own the infrastructure behind our deploy-anywhere platform, from Kubernetes clusters to CI/CD pipelines and observability stacks. You will write Helm charts and Terraform configurations, debug issues across AWS, GCP, and on‑prem environments, and participate in on-call rotations to support enterprise customers.

This hands-on role requires strong Kubernetes experience, IaC proficiency, and backend coding skills.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in platform engineering, DevOps, or backend infra.
• Strong Kubernetes deployment, debugging, and scaling skills.
• Hands-on with Terraform, Helm, and Pulumi in cloud or on-prem.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain IaC for AWS EKS, GKE, and on-prem clusters.
• Own CI/CD pipelines and drive GitOps adoption.
• Deploy and optimize ML/NLP inference workloads on Kubernetes.
• Improve observability with Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, OpenTelemetry.
