Job summary

Evolent is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to transform infrastructure with a modern Platform Engineering & Operations model. You will implement automation, build agentic AI solutions, and contribute to secure, observable cloud platforms across Azure services, AKS, and ACA.

You will drive reliability, security, and compliance as part of a team delivering scalable, maintainable systems for health workloads, partnering with engineering and product teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on Azure and 5+ years of overall cloud-native experience.
• Strong understanding of OpenTelemetry and demonstrated experience implementing observability solutions across traces, metrics, and logs.
• Experience leveraging agile methodology, e.g. Scrumban, to manage project work.
• Domain Expertise — Site Reliability Engineering
• Production operations on healthcare workloads under HIPAA and SOC 2, including incident and problem management and disaster recovery readiness.

Responsibilities

• Provision and change infrastructure exclusively as code, ensuring reproducible environments.
• Reverse engineer the applications and infrastructure you inherit: trace dependencies, integrations, and data flows end to end.
• Design and build agentic AI solutions for platform, delivery, and operations work; identify toil to automate and build/maintain the agent.
• Build security and compliance into the delivery path with guardrails and audit evidence from design.
• Engineer and manage observability solutions using OpenTelemetry to monitor performance and reliability.
• Deploy and manage containerization using Docker and Kubernetes with AKS/ACA, monitoring health and security.
• Participate in Root Cause Analysis and address the actual root cause to prevent recurrence.
