Job summary

CACI International is seeking a Platform Engineer to design, build, and scale intelligent systems within a DevSecOps framework. You will implement enterprise-grade workloads with a focus on secure deployment across global environments, collaborating with developers and security teams to ensure compliance and performance.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required.

• BS/BA + 10 years or equivalent (AA + 15 years, MS + 8 years, or no degree + 20 years).
• 10+ years of experience in cloud/infrastructure engineering.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Azure, AWS or GCP.
• Expert Terraform skills and IaC management.
• Experience operating production Kubernetes clusters (AKS/EKS).
• Experience with containers (Docker/Podman) and CI/CD.
• Python scripting and Java build toolchains.

Responsibilities

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Platform Engineer to design, build, and scale our next-generation intelligent systems as part of our DevSecOps team. You will be part of a team responsible for implementing enterprise-grade processing systems, and ensuring the secure deployment of processing workloads in systems deployed worldwide. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated technical leader who thrives in agile environments and adapts quickly to emerging technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and support services using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, or similar technologies.

• Build, optimize, and maintain production-grade CI/CD pipelines

• Design and manage data preprocessing workflows, chunking strategies, and vector database infrastructure.

• Build and maintain automation using PowerShell, Python, Azure CLI, Logic Apps, and Azure Functions.

• Configure and tune network security groups (NSGs), application gateways, and other protective cloud controls.

• Manage compute, storage, networking, and database services across cloud environments while ensuring adherence to security and compliance frameworks.

• Collaborate closely with developers and subject matter experts to integrate testing into pipelines.

• Establish and enforce security best practices for system implementations and data privacy.

• O&M of existing Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes environments across multiple security domains in Cloud, data center, and edge environments

• Conduct trade studies to select appropriate open-source, commercial or existing government solutions/technologies to balance performance, cost, user experience and time to operations

• Work with internal and external teams to understand integration requirements and scale existing platforms to meet them

• Work with Security to ensure ongoing compliance and develop secure solutions

Qualifications:

• U.S. Citizenship required

• TS/SCI with polygraph

• BS/BA + 10 years or equivalency (AA + 15 years of experience, MS + 8 Years of experience or no degree + 20 years of experience)

• 10+ years of experience in cloud/infrastructure engineering

• Extensive hands‑on engineering experience in one or more of Azure, AWS, GCP

• Expert Terraform skills; proven experience managing infrastructure with infrastructure as code

• Experience operating production Kubernetes clusters (AKS/EKS) supporting processing workloads

• Experience with containers (Docker, Podman) and CI/CD

• Python scripting/programming abilities

• Experience with Java & Python build toolchains

Desired:

• Previous intelligence community experience

• Experience with CSAM, RegScale, eMASS, or similar GRC tools

• Experience supporting emergency operations or disaster response missions

• Experience with continuous monitoring and automated security tools

• Strong communication skills for presenting to senior leadership

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
