Job summary

PromptArmor, an AI security company in San Francisco, seeks a senior backend engineer to build and scale the foundational platform powering our security products. You will design systems that ingest, process, and serve threat intelligence across our customer base.

Own data infrastructure and core services; improve developer velocity with shared tooling; partner with product engineers to ship reliable features on a scalable foundation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience building production backend systems.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, databases, and API design.
• Proficiency in Python, Go, or a similar backend language, with cloud-native experience (AWS/GCP).
• A track record of scaling services from prototype to production.

About the role

Build and scale the foundational platform that powers PromptArmor's AI security products. You'll design the systems that ingest, process, and serve threat intelligence and risk signals across our customer base.

What we’re looking for
