Job summary

Exiger is seeking a Platform Engineer II to design and build AWS platform features and contribute to CI/CD pipelines and Kubernetes operations. You will work with Terraform, Helm, and observability tools to improve reliability and security across environments.

The role requires 0–4 years of cloud infrastructure experience, a BS in CS, and skills in Python or Go, AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform. A willingness to achieve AWS certifications within a year is expected.

Qualifications

• 0–4 years of production experience in cloud infrastructure or CI/CD.
• BS in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Proficiency in Python or Go; experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
• AWS Solutions Architect or SysOps Administrator Associate (or willingness to achieve within 12 months).
• Familiar with mainstream LLMs and AI Harnesses.

Responsibilities

• Own platform features end-to-end, from design to production.
• Build multi-environment CI/CD pipelines and deploy workloads via Terraform and Helm.
• Operate and troubleshoot AWS EKS clusters, manage resources, and autoscaling.
• Implement secure-by-default configurations aligned with NIST/CIS standards.
• Design SLOs and dashboards using CloudWatch or Datadog for reliability.
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate IaC development and scripting.

About the Role

As a Platform Engineer II, you will independently design and build small‑to‑medium AWS platform features. You will contribute to CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes operations, and observability with growing autonomy.

Key Responsibilities

• Feature Ownership: Own platform features end‑to‑end, from design to production.
• Infrastructure & CI/CD: Build multi‑environment CI/CD pipelines and deploy workloads via Terraform and Helm.
• Kubernetes Operations: Operate and troubleshoot AWS EKS clusters, including resource management and autoscaling.
• Security & Compliance: Manage AWS IAM roles and implement secure‑by‑default configurations aligned with NIST/CIS standards.
• Observability: Design SLOs and dashboards using CloudWatch or Datadog to improve reliability.
• AI Integration: Use AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude) to accelerate IaC development and scripting.

• Experience: 0‑4 years of production experience in cloud infrastructure or CI/CD.
• Education: BS in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Skills: Proficiency in Python or Go; experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
• Certification: AWS Solutions Architect or SysOps Administrator Associate (or willingness to achieve within 12 months).
• AI Proficiency: Familiar with mainstream LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google) and AI Harnesses.

Compensation

Compensation range = $100,000 - $110,000 with variable bonus + benefits.
