Everforth Apex Systems is seeking a Platform Engineer in Greenwood Village, Colorado (onsite) to design, build, and maintain cloud-native data infrastructure using Terraform for Snowflake, Databricks, and AWS with automated CI/CD pipelines.

You will treat infrastructure as code, ensure security, cost governance, and incident response, and collaborate across teams to deliver scalable data platforms.

Qualifications

Platform Engineer

Location: Greenwood Village, Colorado (Onsite)

Role Overview

We are seeking two Senior Data Platform Engineers to design, build, and maintain cloud-native data infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC). This role is at the intersection of data platform engineering and DevOps, responsible for operating Snowflake, Databricks, and AWS environments entirely through Terraform, with fully automated CI/CD delivery pipelines. The ideal candidate treats infrastructure as a software product: version-controlled, tested, peer-reviewed, and deployed without manual intervention.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain reusable, versioned Terraform modules that provision Snowflake, Databricks, and AWS resources.
• Manage remote state, including locking, encryption, and workspace isolation per environment.
• Design and operate CI/CD pipelines that run format, validate, plan, policy checks, and gated apply on every change.
• Implement automated testing and drift detection for infrastructure.
• Provision and govern Snowflake (RBAC, warehouses, resource monitors) and Databricks (workspaces, Unity Catalog, cluster policies, jobs) via code.
• Build the AWS foundation (networking, IAM, encryption, storage) supporting both platforms.
• Implement monitoring, cost visibility, and alerting across all platforms.
• Own reliability, security posture, and incident response for platform infrastructure.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on data platform or data infrastructure engineering experience.
• Production experience with Snowflake, including warehouse sizing, RBAC, resource monitors, database/schema design, and cost governance.
• Production experience with Databricks, including workspace administration, cluster/compute policies, Unity Catalog, and job orchestration.
• Production experience with AWS core services (IAM, S3, VPC/networking, KMS, and compute).
• Proven ability to author, modularize, and maintain production IaC across multiple providers using Terraform.
• Experience building and operating automated CI/CD pipelines that plan, validate, and apply infrastructure changes.
• Proficiency with Git-based version control and branch-based workflows.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience integrating the Snowflake and Databricks Terraform providers.
• Familiarity with policy-as-code tooling (OPA, Sentinel, Checkov) for pre-apply guardrails.
• Programming proficiency in Python or Go for automation and tooling.
• Exposure to data orchestration tools such as Airflow, MWAA, dbt, or Databricks Workflows.
• Experience with FinOps or cloud cost management across data platforms.
• Prior work standardizing IaC across multiple teams via shared module libraries.
• Relevant certifications: SnowPro, Databricks Certified Data Engineer, AWS (Solutions Architect / DevOps Engineer), HashiCorp Terraform Associate.

Compensation And Benefits

For this position, the compensation rate is between $60.00/hr and $70.00/hr.
