Job summary

Accenture Federal Services in Arlington, Virginia, seeks a Platform Engineer to build and maintain the core platform tools and services that enable data management and analytics for federal clients. Job Description

The Platform Engineer will develop and maintain the common platform tools and services that enable the Client System's data management and analytics capabilities. The engineer will build and enhance the core services that application developers and data scientists use, ensuring the platform provides a robust and efficient environment for mission-critical tasks. This role will design and implement platform capabilities such as containerization, orchestration, and service meshes, create self-service tools for developers to increase productivity, and establish platform monitoring and observability solutions. The engineer will implement platform security controls and compliance mechanisms, optimize platform performance and resource utilization, and automate platform operations through continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. This person will evaluate and integrate new technologies to enhance platform capabilities, develop platform documentation and training materials, and collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to ensure seamless integration.

Must have:
  • A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in IT, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Software Engineering, or related field
  • At least 8 years of experience developing and supporting platform services and tools in an enterprise setting
  • Must meet DoD 8140 requirements
Security Clearance:

Active Secret, Top Secret, TS/SCI, or TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance required, depending on position

Compensation

As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland . The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. Accenture Federal Services offers a wide variety of benefits. You can find more information on benefits here. We accept applications on an on-going basis and there is no fixed deadline to apply.

The pay range for the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland is:$135,200 - $278,500 USD
