Job summary

Mortenson Properties, Inc. (MPI) seeks a Senior Renewable Investments Manager to build and scale a renewable investments platform focused on tax equity, tax credit monetization, and margin-generating opportunities.

You will work with the Director of Renewable Investments and cross-functional teams to source, underwrite, execute, and manage renewable energy investments. This entrepreneurial role shapes MPI's renewable strategy, builds market relationships, and creates tools and processes to grow

Qualifications

• 6-10+ years of experience in tax equity, renewable project finance, infrastructure investing, investment banking, private equity, energy finance, or related roles.
• Strong financial modeling skills: build, audit, and explain complex investment models.
• Understanding of renewable energy project economics, tax credits, depreciation, partnership structures, capital accounts, and waterfalls.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex workstreams, multiple priorities, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills: present clearly, write concisely, translate complexity into actionable recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Design and scale MPI's renewable investments platform with emphasis on tax equity and tax credit monetization.
• Lead evaluation, financial analysis, diligence, structuring, negotiation, and closing of renewable investments.
• Build and stress-test financial models and tax credit realization.
• Coordinate legal, tax, accounting, engineering, development, and external advisor workstreams through closing.
• Own ongoing performance tracking, risk management, and reporting for the portfolio.
