Job summary

Akkodis is seeking an Automation Services Engineer in Leesburg, VA to help build automation, tooling, and platform services that empower engineering teams to move faster and operate more efficiently. The role focuses on infrastructure automation frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and validation systems to ensure reliable outcomes.

You will design, develop, and maintain automation likely using Ansible, GitLab, and IaC practices.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with configuration management and automation technologies such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Salt.
• Experience designing and implementing infrastructure-as-code and automation-first solutions.
• Experience developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, preferably using GitLab.
• Proficiency with Git-based workflows, including branching strategies, merge requests, and code reviews.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain infrastructure automation frameworks using Ansible and related technologies.
• Build scalable, repeatable deployment workflows using infrastructure-as-code and configuration management practices.
• Automate system provisioning, configuration, patching, validation, and lifecycle management activities.
• Develop and enhance internal platform services that support engineering teams across the organization.
• Drive automation-first approaches that reduce manual effort and improve operational consistency.
• Design and maintain GitLab-based CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure testing, validation, and deployment.
