Job summary

Paycom in Dewey, OK is seeking a Steel Plate Roll Operator to form steel plates into cylindrical or curved shapes using plate rolling equipment. The role also requires basic stick welding for fit-up, tacking, or repairs, with emphasis on safety and quality in a manufacturing environment.

You will set up machines, monitor the rolling process, inspect parts for accuracy, and collaborate with shop staff to meet production targets.

Qualifications

Experience operating steel plate roll equipment preferred or willingness to be trained.
Ability to read tape measures and use basic measuring tools.
Ability to follow instructions with minimal supervision.
Commitment to workplace safety.

Responsibilities

Operate plate rolling machines to roll steel plate to required diameters and tolerances.
Set up machines, including adjusting rolls, guides, and controls.
Perform stick welding (SMAW) for tacking, fitting, or minor weld repairs.
Monitor rolling process and maintain quality.
Inspect finished parts for size, shape, and surface defects.
Perform basic machine maintenance and report mechanical issues.
Follow all safety rules, procedures, and company policies.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Work closely with supervisors and other shop personnel to meet production requirements.
Perform other general labor duties as assigned.
