Clifton Steel in Maple Heights, OH, is seeking a Plate Inspector for 2nd shift. You will perform dimensional and quality inspections on steel plate products, reading orders and specs, and recording data in company systems. The role supports production while maintaining safety and quality guidelines.

Eligible candidates bring a positive attitude, strong attention to detail, and mechanical aptitude. Physical capability to stand and lift up to 30 pounds is required, with training provided for crane

Qualifications

• Prior quality inspection experience is preferred.
• Manufacturing, industrial, or warehouse background is desirable.
• Experience using calipers, micrometers, gauges or similar precision tools.
• Overhead crane or lift truck experience is a plus.
• Basic computer skills and experience entering production data; familiarity with blueprints and specs.

Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional and quality inspections on steel plate products.
• Read work orders, inspection sheets, customer specifications, and production documents.
• Use measuring equipment and record inspection data in company systems.
• Assist with packaging and preparing materials per specifications.
• Maintain safety and quality guidelines while supporting production.
