Alro Steel Corporation in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Plate Processing Operator to support order fulfillment and metal processing operations. You will manage customer orders, operate heavy equipment, and work on plate burning tables, forklifts, and overhead cranes as part of a shift rotation.

The ideal candidate has prior experience in metal service center operations, two years operating plate processing equipment, and a strong record of attendance and safety.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in operations for a metal service center (preferred).
• Two years of experience in operating plate processing equipment (preferred).
• Excellent attendance.
• Safe work habits.
• Computer and keyboard skill development.
• A record of accurate order fulfillment.

Responsibilities

• Filling and preparing customer orders for shipment.
• Operating heavy equipment including plate burning tables, forklifts, and overhead cranes.
• Working afternoon or evening hours as needed, based upon shift assignment.
