Job summary

Graphic Packaging International is seeking a Plate Mounter to support plate mounting, prepress training, and ongoing pressroom coordination on site. You will work with press personnel, ensure SAP data accuracy, and help maintain production schedules while following SQF and safety practices.

The role requires physical mobility, ability to lift up to 70 pounds, and willingness to work at elevations. Internal candidates are prioritized and training is provided where needed.

• Working in heights up to 12 feet using ladders.
• All other duties as assigned.

Position: Plate Mounter

This notice is to communicate the available position noted below. Internal candidates will be considered before assessing/interviewing outside candidates.

Job Function : Job functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Ability to use SAP, bring up the press schedules. Print and understand the SAP beverage data sheet.
• Troubleshoots and corrects plate related problems and assists in troubleshooting unknown problems with pressroom personnel.
• Operates machinery and performs machine maintenance.
• Perform daily checks on all presses to verify SAP accuracy.
• Prepare plates for mounting by cutting, staging, etc.
• Completes daily End of Shift Report accurately and all checklists entirely.
• Interfaces with plate room inventory systems to maintain updated information.
• Deliver plates to all presses in timely manner.

Required Experience:

• Has had training in Plate Mounting and has been signed off by the Area Lead on at least one level 1 basic skill.

Safe Quality Food Responsibilities:

• Follow all Plant rules, Processes, Hygiene, and Allergens procedures, related to production of Safe Quality Foods.
• Report to person of authority to record any potentially unsafe conditions which may result in unsafe foods or noncompliance to SQF related procedures.
• Participate in SQF Root Cause and Corrective Actions (from customer complaints, SQF audits, validation, and verification activities) as required.
• Follow all procedures related to producing Safe Quality Foods (SQF).
• Report any potentially unsafe SQF conditions or customer complaints to a person of authority to record and/or correct the situation
