Job Opportunity: Plastics Material Handler Trainee

Are you ready to start a new career? WE MANUFACTURE FUN!! Cardinal Systems Inc. is a leading manufacturer of galvanized steel walls for in-ground swimming pools, along with steel steps, benches, aluminum coping, liner track, deck drains, liner bead, and other custom fabrications.

The Plastics Material Handler Trainee plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth production of our products by pulling orders from inventory, delivering materials, and staging finished goods. This position offers a learning opportunity to support both production and shipping processes, including mastering the ERP system and understanding extrusion schedules.

Essential Functions:
  • Properly band and stretch wrap pallets
  • Operate material handling equipment safely and accurately
  • Follow work instructions, safety procedures, and quality standards
  • Learn Global Shop procedures and daily production tasks
  • Manage inventory locations and staged goods
  • Label and track weights for inventory restocking
  • Perform quality checks and understand product prints
  • Understand department workflow and process flow
  • Review and suggest efficiency improvements
  • Complete production and quality data sheets accurately
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Manufacturing and forklift experience required
  • Proficient in English, math, and using hand/power tools
  • Detail-oriented with strong time management and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Work Schedule: 1st Shift, Monday-Friday, 7:45 AM - 4:00 PM
