Job summary

Amcor in New Albany is seeking an Operator to keep ISBM/IM lines running and to produce high‑quality bottles. You will perform preventive maintenance, start up and shut down equipment, and make mechanical adjustments to address quality issues.

You will document changes, conduct quality checks, and participate in mold changes while upholding safety and GMP standards. You will work with a strong team, follow Amcor policies, and contribute to reliable production that supports customer needs and

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience operating ISBM/IM equipment.
  • Ability to make priority judgments based on situation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient hand-eye coordination to operate equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance on ISBM/IM molds and machines; clean machine and basement area.
  • Start up and shut down molding equipment safely.
  • Make mechanical and system adjustments to correct quality issues.
  • Conduct root cause analyses to determine true causes of issues.
  • Document all adjustments and changes to machinery; update records.
  • Perform quality checks on bottles per policy and document issues in the quality system.
  • Assist with mold changes as needed; adhere to safety guidelines.

Job DescriptionJob Title: OperatorLevel:Pay Grade:Reports to (Title): Operations ManagerLocation Country/ City: New AlbanyBG: Rigid PackagingFull time/ Part time: Full TimeBU: Specialty ContainersPermanent/ Temp: PermanentFunction: OperationsApproved by Hiring Manager:Replacement/ Addition:Approved by HR Business Partner:About the RoleThe primary function of the Operator is to keep the Injection Stretch Blow Molding and/or Injection Molding lines running well and producing good bottles.Accountabilities and Responsibilities:Perform preventative maintenance on ISBM/IM molds and machines. This includes cleaning the machine and the basement of the machine.Start up and shut down molding equipment in a safe manner. Make mechanical and system adjustments to machines to correct quality issues in the bottles and process out defects.Perform root cause analysis to determine true cause of machine issues.Must be willing and able to document all adjustments and changes to machinery.Perform quality checks on bottles per policy, documenting any and all issues in the quality system.Perform or assist with mold changes as needed.Respect Amcor Rigid Plastics' primary focus, that is to ensure the "Safety" of all co-workers, temporary workers, contractors, and visitors granted access to the plant.
