Des Moines Plastic Surgery, part of Cosmetic Physician Partners, is seeking a BC/BE Plastic Surgeon for our busy Des Moines area practice. The candidate will handle facial, breast, and body cosmetic procedures, with access to an on-site operating facility dedicated to cosmetic surgery and a full patient care team.

Responsibilities include patient consultations, outlining options and risks, performing surgeries and post-operative care, and maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• A medical degree and an Iowa medical license.
• Residency completed in plastic surgery.

A surgeon who is the right fit will have a passion for aesthetics, value a positive and drama-free culture, and appreciate a professional team focused on the patient experience and excellent outcomes. The ideal candidate is proficient in face, breast, and body cosmetic surgeries. The practice offers nonsurgical treatments such as Laser Lift, SmartLipo, injectables, laser resurfacing, etc.

As a plastic surgeon, your responsibilities will include consulting with patients before surgery, advising them on the best surgical options and associated risks, and performing surgeries and patient follow-ups. You should have excellent communication skills, and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.

Responsibilities:

• Meeting with patients to take their medical history and examine their files to provide them with the best surgical options
• Outlining all the risks and benefits associated with the surgery before the procedure
• Preparing patients for surgical and non-surgical procedures
• Prescribing medication and providing aftercare to patients
• Handling various administrative duties like updating patient records and clinic policies

Requirements

• A degree in medicine and a medical license in the state of Iowa
• Completion of a residency program
• Additional courses and training in cosmetic surgery
• Years of practical experience in surgery
• Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and impeccable bedside manner
