Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and 2 years of relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate injection mold machines.
• Purge material from the press and keep parts from sticking.
• Clean mold periodically to prevent part defects.
• Operate the Injection Mold press and inspect parts for quality.
• Trim, package and label parts correctly; document scrap parts.
• Assist in troubleshooting the press with appropriate personnel.
• Handle materials and stock pallets; follow safety and PPE rules.
• Maintain housekeeping in the work area; stock for finished goods.
• Perform minor maintenance tasks and report issues.

3-Dimensional Services Group is seeking a plastic injection mold operator for first shift at its Rochester Hills, MI location.Shift: 7AM-3:30PM, overtime should be expected.Job Purpose: Works to set up and operate injection mold machines that shape qualified plastic or other materials through a process.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Machine start upPurging material from the pressPeriodically clean the mold to prevent parts from stickingOperate the Injection Mold pressTrim, clean, package and label parts correctlyAssist in troubleshooting the press with appropriate personnelMaterial handling as needed (certification is required through the company)Keep up with housekeeping in your respected work areaInspect all parts produced for qualityDocument any scrap parts produced during shiftBuild packaging for finished goodsUnderstand how to process defects, mold change and machine malfunctionDeliver finished goods to shippingStock material and/or productsMinor maintenance tasks (upon request)Stock pallets in preparation for finished goodsFollow required PPE, and all company safety and Company policiesOther duties as assignedEducation/Special Knowledge:High School Diploma or GED is required.Experience:2-year relevant work experience preferred.Excellent organizational & time management skillsSelf-Motivated and able to perform duties with minimal supervisionWorks well in a team environment
