Job summary

Wayne Health is seeking a Faculty Physician in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery to deliver high-quality patient care within our clinical setting in Detroit. The role includes teaching responsibilities and collaboration with administrators to shape practice operations.

The candidate should be board eligible in Plastic Surgery, licensed to practice in the U.S., and ideally have hand/microsurgery training. Commitment to ethics and continuous professional development is essential.

Qualifications

  • Licensed M.D. or D.O. for practice.
  • Board eligible in Plastic Surgery required.
  • Plastic Surgery training from an accredited program (BC/BE).
  • Hand surgery or microsurgery training is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide the full spectrum of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
  • Deliver quality treatment to all patients in a professional manner.
  • Participate in teaching and training programs.
  • Communicate with administrators and physicians to facilitate operations.
  • Participate in a team effort to ensure efficient patient services.
  • Maintain compliance with ethical codes, corporate policies, and clinic procedures.
  • Attend mandatory trainings and stay current with healthcare trends.
  • Uphold patient confidentiality and professional standards.

The Faculty Physician also assists management in developing policies and procedures relating to patient needs.Job Description:Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Provide a full spectrum of Plastic and Reconstructive SurgeryProvide quality treatment to all patients in a professional mannerParticipate in the teaching/training program(s)Communicate with administrators, and Physicians to facilitate practice operationsParticipate in team effort to guarantee efficient services to patientsConforms to the ethical code of conduct of his/her professional organization, to the Wayne Health Corporate Compliance Program and all standards of the Code of Conduct, Code of Ethics, and to clinic policies and proceduresMaintains a current professional license, professional liability insurance at limits required by Wayne Health Credentialing as applicableAttend meetings and training as requested including participation in mandatory annual Wayne Health training in such areas as: recipient rights, confidentiality, corporate compliance, prevention of violence and management of unsafe behaviors, and cultural competenceParticipates in professional development activities and keeps current with healthcare trends and practicesObeys confidentiality as required by all federal, state, regulatory and Wayne Health policiesPerform related duties as assignedEducation, Licensure/Certification, and Training:Licensed M.D. or D.O.
