Plasma Processor

Our ideal Plasma Processor has great organizational, computer, and troubleshooting skills, and feels comfortable being exposed to extreme temperatures. Handles responsibilities in many operational areas of the plasma center such as maintaining accurate donor files, shipping, and inventory control.

Primary Responsibilities

• Collects and processes donor samples for processing and testing.
• Records weight of product and samples.
• Labels samples and freezes units for final packing within required timeframe.
• Packs units for final shipment; packs samples and prepares shipping box to send samples to the testing lab.
• Monitors stored products and reports working conditions of equipment.
• Maintains active communication and quality.

Occupational Demands

Work is performed in a plasma center with exposure to biological fluids, electrical equipment, and extreme cold below 32°F while working in a plasma freezer. Personal protective equipment is required such as protective eyewear, garments, gloves and cold gear. The job involves standing for 4–6 hours per day, bending and twisting, frequent hand movements, precise coordinated movements, and light to moderate lifting up to 50 lbs. Hearing acuity and color perception are essential.
