  • Develop and apply data analysis and models to set requirements for plasma diagnostics and other in‑vessel stellarator systems.
  • Participate in planning, execution, and analysis of experiments.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior scientists and engineers, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
What you’ll need
  • Ph.D. in Physics, Engineering, or a related field with a strong focus on plasma physics, fusion energy, and/or diagnostics.
  • Extensive experience in designing, developing, and operating advanced diagnostic systems for fusion or plasma physics experiments.
  • Strong knowledge of diagnostic techniques and instrumentation commonly used in plasma physics, such as spectroscopy.
  • Proficiency in data acquisition, analysis, and interpretation using scientific software and programming languages (e.g., Python, MATLAB).
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to diagnostic systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, present findings to diverse audiences, and contribute to scientific publications and proposals.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures related to fusion experiments and diagnostics.
