Job summary

Navigate Search is seeking an Inventory & Purchasing Manager to oversee purchasing, inventory control, material sourcing, and shipping support across three manufacturing plants with roughly 150 employees.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can manage people, maintain accurate inventory, and perform in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills to drive reliable operations and supplier performance.

Qualifications

• Experience in purchasing, inventory control, materials management, or manufacturing.
• Supervisory or management experience preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Confident and able to manage employees with feedback.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Purchase raw materials from confirmed Purchase Orders.
• Maintain required raw material inventory levels and prevent shortages.
• Prepare daily inventory and perpetual inventory reports.
• Manage customer-specific inventory, including Plastics and Globe Materials.
• Source materials and prepare cost estimates for new samples.
• Record materials ordered for inventory tracking.
• Coordinate shipments of samples and special customer requests.
• Provide customer inventory reports when requested.
• Perform and report month-end physical inventory counts.
• Manage and provide direction and feedback to employees.
• Handle additional responsibilities and projects assigned by Management.
