Job summary

Florida's Natural Growers in Umatilla, FL, is hiring a Plant Truck Driver to safely move materials and products within the facility. You will operate various trucks, perform basic maintenance checks, and ensure accurate delivery records.

A valid driver's license and MVR clearance are required, with prior plant truck experience preferred. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and adherence to production schedules while supporting maintenance and warehouse operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license and pass MVR required.
• Experience operating plant trucks, flatbeds, box trucks, tankers, or similar in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Ability to safely load and unload materials using proper techniques.
• Strong organizational skills and time management.
• Good communication skills and teamwork.
• Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate plant trucks, including flatbeds, box trucks, tankers, and trailers, to transport raw materials, parts, and finished goods within the facility.
• Safely load and unload materials from trucks or tankers, ensuring loads are properly secured and balanced.
• Ensure the truck is in good working condition, performing basic maintenance checks and reporting issues.
• Transport goods between departments to ensure smooth workflow.
• Maintain records of deliveries and pickups, including inventory counts and documentation.
• Communicate with team members to prioritize transportation tasks and meet deadlines.
• Follow safety protocols and use PPE during loading and driving.
• Assist and cross-train in other jobs as needed.
