Plant Technician
Clements Fluids is looking for a dedicated, dependable, and mechanically inclined Plant Technician to support our Buffalo, TX facility. This hands‑on role is for someone who takes pride in physical work, operates with safety and precision, and enjoys being part of a strong team. The Plant Technician will support daily plant operations, product handling, loading, blending, equipment checks, housekeeping, and quality standards to help ensure every customer order is completed safely, accurately, and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Ownership & Teamwork – Contributing to a strong, supportive plant culture; demonstrating accountability and teamwork; supporting plant operations; training new technicians; reporting issues promptly.
- Precision in Production & Maintenance – Supporting daily plant operations; ensuring equipment and processes operate efficiently; operating blending, transfer, and storage systems; performing equipment checks and basic maintenance; maintaining organized, clean workspaces; identifying inefficiencies.
- Product Integrity & Reliability – Ensuring quality for every customer order; verifying fluid specifications; assisting driver loading; communicating quality concerns; executing blending instructions accurately.
- Safety‑First Work Practices – Protecting people and the environment; adhering to all HSE procedures; wearing required PPE; participating in safety meetings; monitoring hazards; supporting proper handling and disposal of materials.
- Resource Efficiency & Compliance – Supporting plant efficiency and cost control; using resources wisely; tracking material usage; documenting production, maintenance, and fluid handling; following SOP to reduce waste; communicating needs for maintenance or materials.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong mathematical skills – add, subtract, multiply, divide using weight and volume measurements.
- Ability to manipulate, carry, or lift bags up to 100 lbs.
- Dependable attendance schedule.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
- Previous experience on chemical plants is preferred.
- Works outdoors in all weather conditions; heavy lifting and travel required.
