Responsibilities

• Facility Maintenance & Housekeeping: Empty scrap hoppers, operate sweepers, maintain 5S, paint designated areas, stock water bottles, repair flooring, clean equipment, apply ice melt.
• Safety & Compliance: Complete safety work orders, inspections, audits, maintain guarding and safety devices, support LOTO compliance, sprinkler inspections, hazard reporting, safety training, incident investigations, promote safety culture.

Plant Technician

Position Summary

The Plant Technician is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient manufacturing environment. This role supports facility operations through routine maintenance, housekeeping, safety compliance activities, and equipment inspections while helping ensure adherence to company and regulatory safety standards

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Facility Maintenance & Housekeeping

• Empty scrap hoppers throughout the facility.
• Operate industrial sweepers to maintain plant cleanliness.
• Support and maintain 5S workplace organization standards.
• Paint designated areas and remove cobwebs from facility walls and structures.
• Stock and maintain water bottles in break room refrigerators.
• Repair cracks and minor damage in facility flooring.
• Clean facility fans and other designated equipment.
• Apply ice melt to walkways and work areas during winter weather conditions.

Safety & Compliance

• Complete and track safety-related work orders.
• Perform safety compliance checklist inspections and audits.
• Inspect and maintain machine guarding and safety devices.
• Support Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) program compliance and certifications.
• Conduct weekly and monthly sprinkler system inspections.
• Identify, evaluate, and report potential workplace hazards.
• Assist with or conduct employee safety training programs.
• Participate in incident investigations and corrective action activities.
• Promote a strong safety culture throughout the facility.
