Job summary

Quikrete Heavy Construction Materials in Palestine, TX is seeking a Plant Supervisor to oversee ready-mix concrete plant operations, ensuring equipment, materials and production meet client needs. The role emphasizes safety for personnel and customers and coordination with the Plant Manager for efficient scheduling and on-time deliveries.

Ideal candidates have 3 years’ concrete experience, 1 year supervisory exposure, and a valid driver’s license (CDL preferred).

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3 years’ experience with concrete and related products.
• 1 year maintenance and supervisory experience preferred.
• Current driver’s license preferred (CDL).
• Knowledge of DOT, OSHA, EPA and other regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety efforts, including meetings and enforcing proper equipment use.
• Ensure batching accuracy and monitor material quality.
• Coordinate operations with the Area Operations Manager/Supervisor.
• Supervise plant staff and support hiring and performance management.
• Maintain payroll/timekeeping records accurately.
• Monitor delivery timing and work with mixer operators for on-time service.
• Oversee equipment inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Ensure plant operates at target capacity.
• Maintain overall plant cleanliness and organization.

We are looking for aPLANT SUPERVISOR to join our team inPalestine, TX. As a Plant Supervisor with Quikrete Heavy Construction Materials, you will oversees ready-mix concrete plant operations, ensuring proper equipment, materials, and production to meet client needs. Maintains safety for personnel and customers, coordinates daily production and deliveries with the Plant Manager, and provides timely reports. May also handle scheduling to ensure efficient, on-time distribution and customer satisfaction.

• Ability to direct, teach, motivate, and coach.
• Ability to formulate decisions, makes and support recommendations, prioritize work, communicate with multiple parties and handle multiple tasks.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to facilitate positive working relationships with all levels of management and staff.
• Bilingual is desired but not required.
