Darling Ingredients is seeking a Production Supervisor for the 3rd shift in Des Moines, IA to oversee the flow of raw materials into finished products and ensure equipment is maintained for quality output.

The role requires leadership in safety, coordination with maintenance, and a drive for continuous improvement to meet production targets while adhering to company policies.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisory/management role.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to work rotating weekend shifts.

Responsabilidades

• Observe all company safety rules and participate in regular safety meetings with plant staff.
• Maintain efficient and timely flow of all raw materials received and finished products shipped.
• Oversee equipment used to process raw and finished materials and ensure it is in good working order.
• Manage breakdowns and coordinate with Maintenance to ensure timely repairs.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts in all areas of responsibility.
• Achieve individual and department targets, goals and objectives.
• Assist in conducting investigations of accidents and make recommendations to Plant Safety Committee.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.

Job Description

The Production Supervisor 3rd Shift is responsible for overseeing the timely and efficient flow of raw materials into high-quality finished products; may also include ensuring that equipment is maintained and in good repair.

Duties/Responsibilities Include

• Responsible for observing all Company safety rules and regulations, recognize safety as top Company priority and conduct/participate regularly scheduled safety meetings with plant staff.
• Maintain efficient and timely flow of all raw materials received and finished products shipped.
• Oversee the equipment used to process raw & finished materials is kept in good working order.
• Effectively manage all instances of breakdowns and coordinates with Maintenance to ensure needed repairs are made in timely manner.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts in all areas of responsibility.
• Responsible for achieving individual and department targets, goals and objectives.
• Responsible for observing all Company safety rules and regulations, recognize safety as top Company priority and conduct/participate regularly scheduled safety meetings with plant staff.
• Assist in conducting investigation of accidents that occur within jurisdiction and makes recommendations to Plant Safety Committee.
• All other duties as assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisory/management role.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to work rotating weekend shifts.

Preferred Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude.
• Labor relations background and experience with leadership & training.
• Good understanding of production maintenance and repair protocols.
