Callanan Industries Inc., a CRH Company, is a leading supplier of paving materials and construction services in New York. We are seeking a Plant Superintendent Kingston Quarry to support the Quarry Manager with all aspects of quarry operations, including maintenance, production, staffing, and safety.

The role requires being in the field 80% of the time and ensuring compliance with DOT, OSHA, MSHA regulations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a quarry is preferred.
• Experience with screens and crushers is required.
• Experience working with MSHA.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams to conduct maintenance and repairs utilizing a work order system.
• Candidate is expected to be in the field 80% of the time.
• Complete and organize necessary paperwork to effectively manage plant production, maintenance, staffing, and safety.
• Maintain up-to-date records including inventory, zone inspections, and checklists.
• Kitting of parts and tooling for maintenance projects which may require running for parts.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance and ensure that risk assessments are completed.
• Assesses equipment, orders new materials as required, and coordinates with internal and external maintenance to address plant and equipment readiness.
• Adhere to any and all state and federal regulations, if applicable, as set forth by the US Department of Transportation (DOT), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA), or any other regulatory agency.
• Predictable and reliable attendance at assigned times.

Plant Superintendent

Position Overview - The Plant Superintendent will support the Quarry Manager with all aspects of quarry operations.

• Adhere to any and all state and federal regulations, if applicable, as set forth by the US Department of Transportation (DOT), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA), or any other regulatory agency.
• Predicatable and realiable attendance at assigned times.

Education / Professional Experience

• Previous experience working in a quarry is perferred.
• Experience with screens and crushers is required.
• Experience working with MSHA.
• Pre-employment screenings are required before being employed by Callanan Industries, Inc.

Salary and Benefits

• This position offers an hourly rate of $30-$40.00.
