Job summary

Global Connect Technologies is seeking a Plant Simulation Engineer to develop and validate discrete event simulation models that optimize material flow, manufacturing planning, capacity analysis, and launch readiness across GM facilities. You will use digital factory tools to evaluate production scenarios, identify bottlenecks, and deliver data-driven recommendations to improve throughput and efficiency.

The role requires hands-on Siemens Plant Simulation expertise, experience with related

Qualifications

Degree in Industrial/Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or Mechatronics.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain digital factory models using Siemens Plant Simulation.
Perform manufacturing capacity analysis for body shop, paint shop, and/or final assembly.
Analyze throughput, cycle times, and buffer sizing.
Evaluate material handling systems, AMRs/AGVs, conveyors, and production lines.
Support new vehicle launches through simulation-based validation.
Identify bottlenecks and propose process improvements.
Validate plant layouts and manufacturing concepts before implementation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and plant operations.
Generate reports and present simulation results to stakeholders.
