Job summary

The Campbell's Company is seeking a Plant Services Sanitation Technician to maintain a clean, safe food-production environment and support sanitation programs that meet quality and regulatory standards. You will follow SSOPs, use cleaning chemicals properly, wear PPE, and participate in safety training.

This role offers potential growth to a Plant Services Specialist with training and proven performance, and requires flexibility for weekend work and varying days off.

Qualifications

  • Must follow sanitation procedures, safety requirements, and food safety standards.
  • Able to safely handle and apply cleaning chemicals per procedures.
  • Wear and maintain required PPE in a manufacturing environment.
  • Complete required certifications such as Lockout/Tagout, Fall Protection, Aerial Lift, and Confined Space Safety.

Responsibilities

  • Sanitize food processing equipment per SSOPs.
  • Complete handover of production and cleaning tasks on schedule.
  • Mix, dilute and apply cleaning chemicals per label instructions.
  • Follow GMPs and safety guidelines at all times.
  • Perform housekeeping duties to maintain facility cleanliness.
  • Operate cleaning equipment like floor scrubbers as needed.
  • Support sanitation schedules and weekend shifts when required.

How You Will Make History Here…

As a Plant Services Sanitation Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and food-safe manufacturing environment. Your work will help ensure production equipment, facility areas, and sanitation programs meet company, customer, and regulatory standards. Through effective cleaning, sanitation, and housekeeping practices, you will directly support product quality, employee safety, and operational success. This position also offers a career progression pathway to a Plant Services Specialist role for employees who successfully complete required training and remain in good standing.

What You Will Do…
  • Perform sanitation of food processing equipment in accordance with established Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs).
  • Complete end-of-production, end-of-week, equipment changeover, facility sanitation, and master cleaning assignments.
  • Properly mix, dilute, and apply cleaning chemicals following label instructions and company procedures.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), safety requirements, and food safety standards at all times.
  • Wear and maintain required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Follow lockout/tagout procedures and complete all required safety training.
  • Perform housekeeping and janitorial duties, including mopping, sweeping, and maintaining facility cleanliness.
  • Refill soap dispensers, paper towel dispensers, and other facility supplies as needed.
  • Operate auto floor scrubbers and other sanitation equipment throughout the facility.
  • Support facility hygiene initiatives and master sanitation schedules.
  • Maintain compliance with fall protection, aerial lift, confined space, and other required safety programs.
  • Report sanitation, safety, equipment, or facility concerns to leadership.
  • Assist with special cleaning projects and other assigned duties as directed by Plant Services leadership.
  • Support sanitation schedules that may require working weekends and varying scheduled days off during the week.

What You Will Bring To The Table… (must Have)
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Ability to understand and follow sanitation procedures, safety requirements, and food safety standards.
  • Ability to safely handle and apply cleaning chemicals according to established procedures.
  • Ability to wear required PPE and work in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to complete and maintain required certifications and training, including:
    • Lockout/Tagout
    • Fall Protection
    • Aerial Lift Operation
    • Confined Space Safety
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety.
  • Ability to work weekends and maintain a flexible schedule to support sanitation requirements.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to perform physical cleaning and sanitation tasks throughout the facility.
IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE… (NICE TO HAVE)
  • Previous manufacturing, production, or food processing experience.
  • Food service, food handling, or sanitation experience.
  • Experience operating industrial cleaning equipment, including auto floor scrubbers.
  • Familiarity with GMPs, SSOPs, and food safety programs.
  • Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Interest in career growth and advancement within Plant Services.
  • Previous experience supporting sanitation programs in food manufacturing facilities.
Career Growth Opportunity

This position is eligible for advancement to the Plant Services Specialist role upon successful completion of required training and satisfactory performance.

Schedule Expectations
  • Weekend work is regularly required.
  • Scheduled days off may vary during the week based on sanitation and production support needs.
  • Flexibility is essential to support facility cleaning schedules and operational requirements.
Compensation

Pay: $22.65/hour

Shift: 3rd Shift | 10:30PM - 7:00 AM

Location: 901 N. 200 W. Richmond, UT 84333

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
