Job summary

Fair Oaks Foods, LLC is seeking a Plant Sanitation Manager in Pleasant Prairie, WI to lead sanitation operations across manufacturing, warehouse, and grounds. You will implement food safety, sanitation, and regulatory compliance policies under the Plant Quality Director.

You will develop MSS, train staff, and collaborate with QA, maintenance, and operations to improve processes, maintain records, and drive continuous improvement in plant cleanliness and safety.

Qualifications

• 3 years experience in sanitation, food safety, or similar role in the food industry
• 3+ years supervising a sanitation crew in a food manufacturing environment
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Manages sanitation department and provides input into plant-wide safety, food safety, and personnel practices.
• Communicate with the Operations Manager, Office Staff, or other department managers to troubleshoot issues and make recommendations for improvement.
• Follow GMPs and policies and maintain superior plant cleanliness.
• Adhere to safety practices, including PPE.
• Develop sanitation training on proper cleaning, food safety, and safety procedures.
• Leads and guides sanitation staff on cleaning techniques and procedures.
• Develops and maintains the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS).
• Manages day-to-day activities of direct reports.
• Conducts inspections and ensures corrective actions.
• Maintains sanitation records and analyzes data for trends.
• Partners with QA, operations, and maintenance to meet objectives.
• Ensures facility is free from conditions that may cause contamination.
• Oversees third party sanitation and chemical suppliers.
• Maintains high level of sanitation in the plant.
• Enforces company policies and budget compliance.
• Provides leadership to foster teamwork in the department.
