Job summary

Kroger is seeking a Senior Safety & Compliance lead at our Anderson, SC plant. The role focuses on managing OSHA/EPA/compliance programs, leading incident investigations, and coordinating training and auditing to improve Safety, Quality, Reliability and Customer 1st outcomes.

Responsibilities include updates to leadership, regulatory reporting, and maintaining emergency plans while ensuring adherence to Kroger standards and safety policies across the site.

Qualifications

• Experience in Behavioral Based Safety and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to read/interpret safety documents accurately.
• Proven analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong administration, planning, facilitation and organizational skills.
• CRP/First Aid Certification and OSHA 10 Hour or SafetyTech Training.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
• Experience with regulatory reporting and audits.

Responsibilities

• Provide updates to Leadership on safety concerns and corrective actions.
• Manage compilation/submission of regulatory reports and audits.
• Develop and maintain Emergency Response Plan to meet standards.
• Maintain knowledge of FDA, OSHA, EPA and local regulations.
• Administer Respiratory Protection Plan per requirements.
• Develop, analyze, and train policies to meet Kroger standards.
• Ensure EPA reporting and Sewer/Water permitting compliance.
• Investigate incidents to identify root causes and prevent recurrence.
• Oversee safety teams and drive continual safety improvements.
• Conduct internal safety audits and inspections.
