Qualifications

• Degree in a technical field preferred but not required; relevant education and experience considered.
• Candidates at all experience levels are encouraged to apply.
• Industrial boiler experience required, including outages, pressure-part repairs, welding, inspection.
• Experience coordinating or supporting boiler outage work and contractor coordination is preferred.
• Ability to analyze plant data and provide engineering recommendations.
• Safety and regulatory compliance awareness is essential.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the preparation of construction drawings and specifications for plant process equipment.
• Installation of new and replacement equipment.
• Work with consultants and contractors to accomplish engineering objectives.
• Troubleshoot existing systems with operations and maintenance to resolve safety or production problems with engineered solutions.
• Identify technical and operational training needs and initiate action on capital and O&M projects.
• Monitor work activity to ensure it is performed safely and in compliance with current regulations.
• Assist in record keeping of system work orders, standard drawings, and data files.
• Analyze plant data and provide recommendations.
• Monitor and recommend new technology to improve efficiency, reliability, availability, and longevity of the plant.
• Provide engineering support to other departments as required.
