Job summary

Maker's Pride is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance and Food Safety leader to direct all QA programs at the plant. You will coach the QA and Food Safety teams onsite, drive HACCP and regulatory compliance, and ensure readiness for audits.

You will partner with plant leadership to reduce consumer complaints, monitor KPIs, and implement continuous improvements using lean tools and root cause analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business/science-related field preferred; Post-graduate degree a plus.
• Five or more years of related work experience leading QA/food safety teams in a food manufacturing environment.
• PCQI Certification and/or HACCP Certification must be held.
• Detail-oriented with strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead QA and Food Safety programs including HACCP, Food Safety Plans, Identity Preserved Certifications, IA Vulnerability, and Food Defense.
• Execute a robust internal audit program to ensure site audit readiness at all times.
• Coach, teach, and mentor QA and Food Safety teams to build bench strength and career paths.
• Collaborate with plant leadership to drive quality culture improvements and reduce consumer complaints.
• Oversee Hold and Release, environmental monitoring, traceability, and recall exercises; monitor KPIs and implement improvements.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with FDA, USDA, GMPs, and company policy.
